Dr. James Yap Thai Huah graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (with Credit) and was awarded the Sir John Walsh Research Institute Summer Research Scholarship for his research excellence.
As a dentist who constantly strives to improve the quality of his patient. His special interests include bruxism, orofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine and is passionate about raising awareness of the dentist’s role in detecting and managing sleep-disordered breathing, and strongly believes in preventive, early-intervention approaches to oral health.
An advocate of digital dentistry, Dr. Yap integrates advanced technology to plan and guide treatments with precision and comfort. He is also an active member of International Team for Implantology (ITI) member and a local speaker with Anthogyr Implants and speaks frequently sharing his knowledge on implant and surgical techniques.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Yap regularly attends courses and workshops across the Asia-Pacific region to stay current with the latest advancements. His gentle, patient-centeredapproach focuses on education, prevention, and creating a calm, pain-free dental experience.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Yap enjoys reading, tinkering with projects, and staying active. He is a member of the Singapore Sleep Society, World Dentofacial Sleep Society, Aesthetic Dentistry Society Singapore, and the Prosthodontic Society of Singapore.
