Dr Nijam Latiff is a general dental practitioner with a deep commitment to preventive, holistic, and comprehensive care. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2007, attained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2014, and completed a Master of Science in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London in 2022. He has assumed various roles in the dental industry, including practice owner and clinical director across multiple dental settings.
Dr Nijam believes oral health is deeply connected to overall systemic wellbeing. His practice focuses on early prevention, functional aesthetics, and sleep health—offering minimally invasive treatments that enhance both smile and quality of life. His expertise includes restorative procedures, aesthetic dentistry, and aligner-based orthodontics.
He prefers a non-extraction approach to correcting misaligned teeth in both children and adults, addressing underlying causes such as poor tongue posture and dysfunctional breathing. This airway-centric philosophy aligns closely with his interest in sleep-disordered breathing and temporomandibular joint (TMD) disorders. He is currently pursuing the International Fellowship in Dental Sleep Medicine.
In aesthetic dentistry, Dr Nijam applies Smile Design Concepts to achieve natural, functional results using conservative techniques such as composite bonding, minimally invasive veneers, CAD-CAM ceramic restorations and dental implants.
To deliver comprehensive care, he often collaborates with ENT surgeons, sleep physicians, internal medicine doctors, aesthetic doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists, speech therapists and dental specialists.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Nijam enjoys time with his wife and two daughters. He is passionate about travelling, playing music, and soccer.
