Dr. Tay obtained his BDS degree at the University of Singapore in 1971, where he was awarded the prestigious University of Singapore Student Union gold Medal for being the best 'All Round Graduand'.

He is one of the few dentists in Asia to be a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the International College of Prosthodontics.

At the local and international level, Dr Tay is recognised as a leader in dental practice management and clinical dentistry with an emphasis on Craniomandibular disorders, Prosthodontics and Dental Aesthetics.

Dr Tay was instrumental in the establishment of several professional organisations. These included being the founder and Past President of the Asian Academy of CranioMandibular Disorders, the Asian Academy of Prosthodontists, and the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He was also the Past President of the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry (IFED).

In addition, Dr Tay is the co-founder and President of International Dental Academy, a centre dedicated to educating, motivating, stimulating and sharing knowledge with other dental professionals in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.

He is President of the Global Management Group, the only healthcare consultant in South Asia.

During his career, Dr. Tay founded and was senior partner at Drs Tay & Partners Dental Surgeons from 1973 to 2007.

Dr Tay has more than 33 years of experience in private group practice and brings this extensive experience to T32 Dental Centre, where he is a Clinical Director.

He focuses on all areas of aesthetic dentistry, including full mouth rehabilitation and smile planning and design.
