Family Dentistry

Parents who wish their children to grow up with strong, healthy teeth should lead by example.

Start by scheduling appointments to have your teeth checked and cleaned at least twice a year. This prevents the build-up of disease-causing plaque and calculus and allows our dental surgeons to spot and address possible problems early, for the most successful treatment.

When your children observe that visits to the dental clinic are a natural part of your lives, they are more likely to follow suit and start on their own path towards good dental health.

Children’s Dentistry

Good oral habits should start from a young age to minimise tooth decay and gum infection in later years.

We encourage you to begin dental visits for your children when they are between 2 and 3 years old. This early start builds up their comfort level with the dental environment and is an important step in removing fear and anxiety associated with going to the dentist.

Using techniques such as “tell-show-do,” our dental surgeons gently introduce children to different dental tools and their functions, and turn the visit into an active session where kids are involved in their own treatment. We also practice minimally invasive dentistry as a way to reduce pain and discomfort.

Our young patients have their own playroom where they can watch cartoons, play Wii games, solve puzzles, browse our selection of books or just hang out before or after their appointments.
