Don’t let chipped, cracked, discoloured or uneven teeth stop you from smiling. Let our experienced dental surgeons turn these into healthy looking teeth using composite restorations.
This procedure is an effective alternative to porcelain veneers, which may not be appropriate for some types of teeth. How it works:
Our dental surgeon will first closely examine your teeth to determine the exact condition of the teeth. This usually requires taking x-rays of the affected teeth and can be quickly done using on-site facilities at T32 Dental Centre.
Composite Fillings
Some things are best kept secret and that goes for teeth fillings! Composite restorations make such dental work virtually undetectable, unlike traditional metal fillings which discolour and can be clearly seen when someone speaks or laughs.
Silver-coloured metal amalgam fillings tend to corrode over time. These dark patches can show through teeth and look visually unattractive. This can be addressed by replacing silver fillings with tooth coloured filling materials like composites.
How it works:
Our dental surgeon will first remove the silver filling. The tooth is prepared to receive the new filling by having its surface lightly etched. Next, we will apply a thin layer of dental adhesive. A composite resin is then applied and sculpted into shape by the dentist. Once this is set, the resin is trimmed, smoothed and polished to a natural appearance. Maintenance:
Treat your new fillings like your own natural teeth. Practising good dental habits such as brushing twice a day followed by flossing is important, as are regular visits to the dentists and not chewing on hard objects such as ice.
