What do you do with your damaged teeth whose biting surface are too damaged to be treated with fillings but are not so structurally damaged that it needs a crown?

Inlays and onlays are ideal solutions in such cases and can help the affected teeth retain their usefulness and best of all, does away with the pain of extraction.

As evidenced in the pictures, porcelain inlays and onlays make the teeth stronger by holding them together while also retaining a natural aesthetically pleasing colour.

How it works:

It usually takes two to three appointments to complete this procedure. At the initial session, our dental surgeon will first administer local anaesthesia to the affected area.  He / She will then prepare the affected tooth minimally, such that it maximises the final strength of the inlay / onlay and gives protection to the tooth. We will then take an impression of the area for our in-house dental ceramists to create a customised inlay / onlay for you. During this appointment, you will be fitted with a temporary inlay /onlay and on your next visit to the T32 Dental Centre; the dental surgeon will remove the temporary and replace it with a permanent inlay / onlay.

Maintenance:

Practising good dental habits such as brushing twice a day followed by flossing is important, as are regular visits to the dentists and not chewing on hard objects such as ice.

The T32 Advantage: We have our own in-house dental ceramists who will craft each inlay / onlay for every patient at T32’s on-site dental laboratory using only the highest quality porcelain. This ensures excellent fit, more natural looking crowns and greater satisfaction levels among our patients.
