Dr. Rudy Shahan Hassan obtained his BDS degree at the National University of Singapore in 1996, where he was awarded the Wrigley Book Prize for ‘Best in Biochemistry’ (1993) and the Mummery Silver Medal for being first class in Oral Pathology (1995). He was also on the Deans’ List and received the prestigious Singapore Dental Association President's Bronze Medal for outstanding results (1993).



While still in university, Dr. Rudy spent a year with the Asia Pacific Dental Student Association. During this time, he presented the results of his study into the "Prevention of Micro leakage in Amalgam Restorations Using Different Liners".



Dr. Rudy has a strong interest in Implant Dentistry and shares his knowledge in this field as a Visiting Professor at the Apsun Implant Centre in South Korea. He also has a special interest in Aesthetic Dentistry.



Dr. Rudy is a member of various esteemed committees and institutions, both local and international. He is a Member of: the International Congress of Implantologist in the United States, the Aesthetic Dentistry of Singapore, Asia Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, a member of the Singapore Academy of Oral Rehabilitation & Implantology and, an Adjunct Educationist at the International Dental Academy.


Having worked at his own private practice for almost a decade, Dr Rudy joined T32 as a clinical director. Dr Rudy works extensively in several areas, including Restorative Implants, Periodontics, Endodontics, and Paediatric Dentistry.



Dr. Rudy has also conducted pro-bono dental work in Indonesia and Sabah and provided free public talks on dental health for the Malay-speaking community in Singapore.


Outside of dentistry, Dr Rudy is a keen golfer and badminton player. He has successfully run the Standard Chartered Marathon for the past five years.
